Lord Byron "Childe Harold" proofs and letter, circa 1834-1837.

A corrected proof of the preface to Byron's poem "Childe Harold," Canto IV, pages ix-xi, which is in the form of a letter to John Cam Hobhouse. The corrections are in Byron's hand. On the verso of p. xi is a holograph letter to Hobhouse from Byron (undated). Bound in are portraits of Byron (in 1837) and Hobhouse (in 1834), and a typewritten transcript of the letter. Bound in calf with marbled boards.
